Blo Dry Bar: Review

Thursday, April 27, 2017

I have been dying to share my collaboration with Blo Dry Bar with you.  I think it is pretty safe to say that a great blowout is on almost every girls list... am I right ladies?  So when I had the opportunity to be a brand ambassador for them I jumped at the chance!

TJ Maxx find

Tuesday, April 25, 2017

The other day I majorly scored at TJ Maxx!  Not only did I find a paper crown dress for $24.00 but I found this super adorable embroidered halter dress that I just HAD to HAVE!  I had originally planned to wear this dress out to dinner but I was a little caught off guard by the 55 degree temperature so it ended up only working for during the day.

To make this look work for the cold windy day I ended up adding my go to denim jacket!  I am pretty sure that I have worn this thing at least once a week for the past month and a half.  Some people might say it's for young girls but I think it's a closet staple and an easy way to dress down an outfit or add a light layer.

I do have to stop and point out my hair!  Even though we had like 30 mph winds I got the most amazing blowout at Blo Blow Dry Bar and have to brag on my stylist!  He was so professional and listened to exactly what I wanted.  Instead of going with my usual spiral curls I wanted a light beach wave look... It is sort of hard to tell in these pictures so stay tuned for my full review of my experience at Blo Bar coming soon!

I hope you all have a great week!

March: Must Have's

Monday, March 6, 2017

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend, I know mine was spent mainly in bed sick with a pretty nasty cold, but that didn't deter me from internet shopping and rounding up some of my favorite items just in time for spring break!  Who else is ready for summer temperatures!

1.) Asos Gingham two piece:  At just under $55.00 this cutie is the perfect addition to your beach trip, I am totally going to be hitting the gym extra hard to get beach body ready for this suit!

2.) Kenneth Jay Lane earrings:  I have this earring in 3 other colors and just love the statement that they make.    I am dying to add these into my summer lineup for an added pop of color, pair this with a nice white dress for a gorgeous summer look.

3.) Charlotte Russe wedges: Who isn't a sucker for festive wedges?  And the best part about these is that they are currently on sale for under $30.00!  I am hoping that these arrive to me sometime this week... fingers crossed!

4.) Lilly Pulitzer X Swell Starbucks bottle (sold out):  I jumped ALL over this collab that came out late last month and online early March.  Items sold out so FAST I wasn't able to link it in todays post... I know there are tons of people selling them on EBay for twice the price so hold out and maybe the over saturated market will drop and you can get one at regular price!

5.) 3.1 Phillip Lim Medium:  Y'all I LOVE this bag, and if you have read my blog you know my boyfriend bought it for me a few years ago for my dirty 30!  I just busted this lady out of hibernation so you will be seeing a ton of it in future blog posts!  I highly recommend this bag, it is quality and for the price I feel like you can fit a ton of stuff in it, plus it comes in an array of colors.

6.) Drybar triple-sec and Hot Toddy:  I straighten/curl my hair almost everyday and these two products have been on repeat.  I love to add the HT to my hair right before I blow dry it to protect it from the heat (it also smells AMAZING).  I love using the triple-sec to add texture and volume to my hair.  I use it right before I curl/straighten my hair and it adds the perfect amount of grip so my hair stays put! After I have finished styling my hair I add a spritz of it to set everything in place!

7.) Keds x Rifle Paper Co:  Obsessed is an understatement!  I wear my Keds 24/7 and when I saw they came out with these fun prints I instantly bought a pair... and then two more!  Unfortunately most of these are sold out BUT Anthropologie has a pair (mostly out of stock) and then on the 9th they should have some more released but in LIMITED Quantities.  So make sure to watch out and be ready to pounce!

Do you have any must have items for spring?  Let me know in the comments below!

Part 2: The Little Black Jeans

Friday, February 24, 2017

Since fashion is a form of non-verbal communication, I like to say what I mean and mean what I say. With that being said, I like to wear what I want how I want. I’m elated that Amelia chose me to collaborate with her on this post because jeans are one of my favorite articles of clothing to wear. They are a classic and there are many different ways you can wear them to show your personal style.

My personal style is edgy, sexy and sophisticated. I am also known to go into high fashion moments unexpectedly to spice things up a bit, so YES Amelia is correct! I wore two skirts in one outfit! I like to freely express myself with confidence and fashion allows me to do just that.

Finding the “perfect” jeans is difficult, but when you do you want to be able to create different looks so that you can wear them often. For my look, I chose to dress the jeans up with heels, but pair them down with a charcoal bodysuit and a white leather jacket. This look is perfect for a girl’s night out! I can easily transform this outfit to a daytime look by losing the jacket and throwing on a pair of ballet flats or sneakers. I love for my style to look effortless and well put together. I love black and I love jeans! What more could a girl ask for? The truth is in the jeans!

To see more of my style follow me on instagram @lataricar. I am also a designer, so follow my business page @boutiqueleay to keep up with the latest.

Cheers to the perfect jeans and looking fabulous!

Because you have to have at least one outtake!
