Game Day Look

Last week was a doozy!  Between getting rear ended and my exciting job news falling through at the final hour I just needed a little bit of a break to cope with it all.  I was so excited to share some exciting news with you about my job, sadly it fell through and I was a little devastated to say the least.  But life has a funny way of working out and I am okay and happily celebrating my 1 year
anniversary at my job with a few new perks ;)!

As a southerner, college football is a must and for the past 5 years my boyfriend and I have been Baylor season ticket holders!  We have our game day traditions of chicken fried steak and a Big O from George's then a little tailgating before kickoff!  This year is definitely off to a rough start for the Bears, but we are there through and through!  The only time I root against them is when they play The University of Texas, I will always be a Longhorn first!

One of the things I struggle with is what to wear to a game.  I have never been a T-shirt and jeans girl (man I wish I was) so the traditional attire really isn't my thing.  My other issue is that green and gold can be a tough color combo to wear and find!  So when I am out shopping you bet I am trying on any cute gold and green attire!  I was so happy to have found this floral top.  Not only does it work for the office but it makes a nice transitional piece!  The best part it is under $60.00!

Texas is right in the middle of "lets be all the temperatures" so sometimes your mornings and evenings are cool while the rest of the day is HOT!  I paired my cute top with some distressed embroidered shorts and a fun knit vest.  Tied it all together with some fun fringe boots and a cute tassel bag!  Layers are essential and an easy way to combat the crazy weather!
