Photo from Bravo, D'Andra second from the left (my boss)!

So much has happened since my last post... let's see well for starters my boss D'Andra Simmons was officially announced as a cast member of Bravo's Real Housewives of Dallas.  It has been so hard to
keep all the filming a secret.  Make sure you tune into Bravo Monday nights starting August 14th... rumor has it I might make an appearance!

I finally joined a gym and after the most horrific session with a trainer who A.) made me cry and B.) called me obese (mind you I am a healthy size 8) I decided to go back and do it for myself.  I was so intimidated after my humiliating session that I needed a break from things.  But now I am back with a new found respect for the gym and some really fun outfits.

And lastly I have started the process of producing my own line of handbags (pictured below).  Due to the timing I think they will be out early Spring of next year so stay tuned, I will greatly need your support so please share my blog and instagram with your friends and family if you think they would enjoy it!

I won't bore you with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale... because honestly I don't want to buy ALL the exact same thing as everyone else!  Now don't get me wrong those are great prices and some of the pieces get all the heart eyes from me but I like unique finds so for now we will skip that little ol' sale and jump straight into my first fashion post of summer.

Todays look is all about mixing old and new.  I went shopping with my fellow stylist friend/designer La'Tarica the other day when I stumbled upon this dress in H&M.  I instantly knew it was going to be mine.  It had print, frills, and pockets.  It is the perfect dress for summer nights or a day at the office.  Since the dress was a little pricey (for H&M) I decided to mix it with pieces I already had; shoes, belt, bag, and jewelry to keep the cost down.  I cannot tell you how many compliments I got on this outfit and you can bet I'll be repeating this look all summer long!

Outfit deets:

Dress: H&M // Shoes: Sam Edelman (OLD), love these // Belt: Anthropologie (old), love this // Earrings: H&M (old), similar // Purse: Amelia Blake Design (coming soon) //
