I am so super excited about today's post... not only am I collaborating with one of my dearest friends
but she also happens to be one of the most stylish people I have ever met!! And I 100% mean that- this girl legit wore two skirts (yes TWO) in one outfit and it was seriously one of the most epic outfits I have ever seen! Clearly I am still obsessed since I am still talking about it and that was over a year ago!
What I want to accomplish with this post:
-to show you how one style of jeans can work on different body types
- how you can dress up or down said pair of jeans
- and finally to show you how two styles can drastically change the appearance of one item of clothing giving you endless options for inspiration!
So here we go!
If you have followed along for a while you know that I am very preppy, girlie, and love bright colors. Dresses are totally my thing, not pants. But several months ago back in my styling days I came across this pair of jeans and developed a love/hate relationship with them.
I never saw my style as edgy or modern, so distressed black skinny jeans scared me! Until two of my stylist friends bought them and wore them, I was so in love with how they each styled them so differently and how good they looked on everyone! Sorry former clients I am sure I sent you these jeans because I believed in them that much!!
I finally bought them and now they are on repeat almost weekly! For my look I wanted to show you how to dress them up. This look would be great for a night out or after work dinner. To keep my look true to me I styled them with a copper sequin top, cuffed the bottoms of the jeans, and added embellished heels to soften the look. Since it is still a little chilly at night I added my leopard fur coat! I love this look, and you can easily ditch the coat if the weather is too warm! You could even add a Blazer to make this a little more formal or pair these jeans with a t-shirt to dress it down!
To me these jeans are a MUST! and at under $100.00 a pair who can beat that!
