Crop top skirt Combo: Liz & Honey (no longer available) // Shoes:Zara (old), similar colors  // Necklace: James Avery // Purse: Tory Burch (no longer available in this color) similar style, love the color //

Last week I had the pleasure of getting to stop into Liz and Honey’s warehouse for their amazing sale. I was on the hunt for some cute dresses for my coworker and I stumbled upon this adorable white set. I have been loving it since I first spotted it on their website, but being that I am not a size 2 and I have been lacking on my ab game I quickly dismissed it. In the spirit of playing dress up I decided to get out of my comfort zone and give this little set a try.

Sometimes getting out of your comfort zone is just what you need; I fell in love with it. Not only do I feel pretty I also feel confident. I may not be the perfect body type or size for this type of outfit but how it is designed with just a small bit of skin showing makes my lack of a six pack not that noticeable. Now I feel trendy and excited to add something into my wardrobe. It brings me back to those vintage days with a little skin but a classic midi skirt. I have to confess that I decided to buy this little number with some of the money I have gained from selling my jewelry! Plus it was on MAJOR sale and I scored this baby for under $30.00 (that’s a skirt and top for less than $15.00 apiece) so technically I cheated my no shopping rule, but I am loving this and couldn't pass it up!

Have you ever tried something out of your comfort zone or wore something that you were told you shouldn’t? I personally think that you should wear whatever you want to if you feel confident and pretty in it! Sometimes its worth trying something new, you might be pleasantly surprised!

Happy Monday everyone, try something new this week and you might just surprise yourself!

  1. You look great, Amelia! I love the all white outfit with the pops of blue! I have been obsessed with matching sets this summer and never thought I would rock a crop top, either. But, I am loving it!! If only I could get myself out of my comfort zone more.... :D
