Amelia B. in the Big D.: Work attire with flare

Last week was literally one of the worst weeks I have had in a long time, but the silver lining is that it really put things into perspective for me. Instead of focusing on how or what I could have done differently I have been taking the approach of how can I change my situation or improve it. I have done a lot of soul searching and I finally feel like I am in a good place with a good action plan. I honestly think sometimes we ignore all the signs and internal feelings because we are comfortable.

To start off the week I decided that I would share a super easy work look that is fun but feminine. As we finally get to experience some spring temperatures dressing for the office can be sort of tricky. For me, warm outside temps mean the office is freezing. I combined a simple striped skirt with a thicker long-sleeved top that has a nice pastel hue and fun flare sleeves. This outfit is not only dress code appropriate but it fits the bill for the weather and season. For a bit of a statement, I decided to add in my new Kat Maconie shoes! I am OBSESSED with them, hello color, tassels, and sequins!!
