Fall Florals

Monday, October 3, 2016

I cannot believe that a year ago I left my corporate career in international sales to follow my dreams of working in fashion.  I am not going to lie things did NOT and I stress NOT go according to my plan, but here I am making a full circle and entering the corporate working world back into business.
I am excited to say that I am back to working in marketing/sales for Hard Night Good Morning which is an all natural skin care line created by Dallas native D'Andra Simmons.  I am so excited about getting back to what I know and working with this fabulous company.

Now with all that business talk out of the way lets get into this outfit!  Y'all I am obsessed with floral for fall.  I love how I can still embrace the warm temperatures but get the look of fall with this dress, because we all know Texas is a few months late to the "autumn party".  I wanted this look to be first day of work appropriate as well as functional for working at my other job (and yes I am working two jobs for the next two weeks).

I needed to achieve two things with this look... 1.) it had to be easy enough to wear while working in a warehouse and 2.) had to be "first day" of working in an office appropriate.  I decided to keep the look simple with a long maxi that I was able to push the long sleeves up to give the illusion of a 3/4 sleeve.  To add some more texture and fall color I added in the cognac belt and suede heels.  I finished the look with a statement necklace and light colored earring.  I really love how feminine the outfit looks, but it is still versatile enough for me to go from 9-5.

Now that I am back in the working world I feel like you will be seeing a lot more outfit posts that are perfect for work and play!  So stay tuned, you never know what I might be up to next!
