All tied up

It is finally warming up in Texas and at the first sight of warmer weather I knew I had to bust out my favorite skirt! This easy DIY was one of my first projects and I am pleased to say it has really held up wash after wash!  Go me!!  I can sew...lol.

I always pair the same simple black or white tops with this skirt, so when I received this lace up beauty from Sojourn Boutique I knew that it would pair perfectly with my skirt for a simple romantic look that was also a wee bit sexy.  Not only is this top AMAZING but it's also only $20.00!  Can we say STEAL of a DEAL!!!

For work I kept it casual with leopard flats, when you are running around all day heels are the last thing on your mind, but I can easily change into heels for a night out or drinks with my girls!

The colors in this look were pretty stark so I added my go-to wrap belt that I can tie in tons of ways for several varying looks.  I tied it with the traditional bow knot this go round, but stay tuned for a post later this week with a new way to tie this belt.

I think I am most excited to pair this top with an A-line button up denim mini skirt to rock that boho/ 70's vibe this summer, all I will need is a platform wedge or thick heeled pump to complete my vintage look, giving me another way to rock this top!  As soon as it is a little warmer (like in the mid 70's) I will be sharing that look with you too.

I hope that everyone had a fabulous Valentine's Day full of love and happiness!  I know I was sad to see the weekend go, but fun things are happening at work this week, so I am excited to start this week off with a bang!  Happy Monday everyone!
