My Beauty and Hair Favorites for 2018

A new year means new products to love.  I am always looking to try new things so when I stumble upon something that I cannot live with out I feel I have to share it with you all.  Currently I have been really liking indie brands, from skin to hair care there is something for everyone in this post.  The best part is, most of it is extremely affordable!  So read on through why and what I am currently loving!

.) Dyson Hairdryer:  This is totally a splurge item but the hype is real y'all!  I was able to blow-dry and style my hair in under 15min!  Granted my hair is a few inches shorter than it was, but my GOD this thing is a time saver.  It even does amazing on curly hair.  I love that it comes with all the attachments and a cute carrying case.  To me this is a total game changer.

.). Anastasia Brow Definer $23.00:  This tool has been my life saver lately.  Not only does it give me great definition but the built in spool at the end helps keep my brows looking great.  Plus it seems to last me several months making it worth the price.

.). Winky Lux Kitten Palette $25.00:  I discovered this brand at the Dallas Indie Beauty Expo and when I saw they had a shadow palette I had to have it.  The colors are highly pigmented and I think suitable for all skin types.  It's also travel friendly!  I snagged this during their Black Friday sale at 40% off, making it a total steal!

.) Winky Lux Flower Balm $14.00:  First off it has a REAL flower in it!  My favorite part about this lipstick is that it basically enhances your natural lip color making it the perfect throw in your purse lipstick.  It's also extremely hydrating!

.) Cloud Paint in Beam $18.00:  I recently got to play with all the Glossier goodies during their Dallas pop up shop!  I love that this blush is buildable and offers that light sun kissed look.  It's a little messy but so easy to apply.

.). The Ordinary.  Niacinimide 10% Zinc 1% $5.90:  If you have never heard about The Ordinary. or DECIEM than after reading this head straight to their website.  This brand has some amazing skincare at affordable prices.  I have been loving the Niacinimide and Zinc formula for my problematic skin, and in just a few weeks I have noticed an incredible difference. My breakouts are significantly less, plus at under 6.00 who can argue with it!  They also just got on Sephora.com.

.)  The Ordinary.  AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling solution $7.20:  This Acid solution has been a total game changer for me.  My skin tone has even out and even appears more radiant.  Now a small disclaimer, this is a very highly concentrated formula.  If you have sensitive skin or are not really familiar with AHAs I do not recommend this product.  Since I work in the skin care industry I am quite familiar with different products and procedures so I feel comfortable in working with a more concentrated formula.  They have other great options if this isn't your cup of tea!

.). Wet N Wild God Bar Highlighter $4.99:  This product is sold out, but there are amazing alternatives to this particular highlighter.  I love the gold shimmer, its the perfect amount of glow.  My second favorite Wet N Wild highlighter is the precious petal.

.). Kristin Ess Weightless Shine Working Serum $14.00:  This serum really gives my hair a healthy sheen.  Since using it I have gotten so many compliments on how healthy and shiny my hair looks.  The best part, you can get it at Target!

.). Kristin Ess Dry Finish Working Texture Spray $14.00:  You all know I'm a sucker for the Dry Bar Triple Sec, well this product is sure giving it a run for its money.  Not only does it give great hold and texture but it seems to last a lot longer than the Dry Bar brand.

.). Tarte In Bloom clay palette $46.00:  I'm a sucker for all things Tarte, and this palette is my favorite for everyday looks.  It really has a great array of matte and shimmer shadows to take you from day to night.

.). Tarte Shape Tape Concealer $27.00:  This is the holy grail of concealer.  I swear by this and won't use anything else ever again!  I am so excited to try the foundation that comes out today!
